There's a chair in there... (MWF)

One of the very cool aspects of my position at the Centre for Youth Literature, State Library of Victoria is our partnership with the Melbourne Writers' Festival.  Taking over the city from August 23rd to September 2nd, MWF brings a range of Australian and international authors to our attention.

Of particular interest is the Schools' Program which runs from August 27th-30th.  Many fantastic young adult authors are on display and in some cases, interviewed by yours truly.  That's right, I'll be chairing a whole range of sessions.  Last year I had the honour of chairing sessions with the lovely Maggie Stiefvater, Penny Tangey, Sally Rippin and Gabrielle Wang.  This year I'll be on stage with Melina Marchetta, Vikki Wakefield, Linda Sue Park, Julia Lawrinson, Fiona Scott-Norman and Oliver Phommavahn.  Like I said on twitter - lucky me!
