Persnickety Snark's FIVE Challenge for 2010

Last year I invented a challenge. No one did it but me. I am hoping with some forewarning there are some that might join me this year :)

It's called the Persnickety Snark FIVE Challenge

From December 21st to 31st I posted daily on different elements of YA. I chose my top five titles/series/moments for each day. It was purely subjective / opinion based but I thought it would be fun to share my thoughts on YA for the year.  I am doing the same for 2010.  You can read last year's efforts here.

I have included the themes for each day below so should you choose to join me you can. It's a busy time of year so you might even pre-schedule posts or only chime in on the topics that interest you. I'll provide a Mr Linky so you can check out other blogger's thoughts for the year.

December 21 - 5 Great Debuts
December 22 - 5 Great Covers
December 23 - 5 Great Series
December 24 - 5 Great Re-Reads (books you've LOVED so much you went back for more)
December 25 - 5 Most Anticipated (2011 titles)
December 26 - 5 Hopes for YA in 2011
December 27 - 5 Great YA Movie Deals
December 28 - 5 Great Author (in the flesh) Moments
December 29 - 5 Great YA Bloggers
December 30 - 5 Great Miracles that Occurred to Get Me Reading More ______ (choose your genre)
December 31 - 5 Best Titles for 2010 (which I double because 5 was too hard).

I have to join you on some of these! It sounds amusing, and it's nice because I can focus on leisure holiday reading over Christmas break.

I might pick different 5 categories, but I'll definitely think about doing this! And looking forward to seeing what you choose.

I'm so on board with this! I know I won't be able to do all of them but there are quite a few I'm already formulating in my mind! This is a great idea :)

I would definitely do this one!

i'd love to do a few of these! i'm wondering though, for some categories like 'great rereads' is it just books released in 2010? or books you read in 2010, regardless of publication year?
can't wait to read your lists! :)

So happy I will have company this year! of course, it helps you can work on these from now and have a nice 'off' period over Christmas :)

Audrey - either. Last year I just did the 2009 releases I had re-read but this year I will be doing both.

cool - I'll join in on some. I am too lazy to pre-organise posts though - so see how I'll go.

really looking forward to what you pick (and others)
