I adore this book, it's one of my all time favourites - I sent it to my co-blogger in an attempt to get her to read it, but she hasn't yet, pfft.
Your video reminded me that I desperately want the Australian covers though - I don't like the US one much and that's the only one I can get here in the UK. :(
Have to agree. It's my all-time favourite book. I just re-read it again a month ago and it was even more amazing a second time because I was able to pick up on all these nuances. I think it's going to be my annual read. What I loved about it was the paranormal element. The boy in the tree coming to her and then Jonah hearing a voice warning him to go back. That really gave me goosebumps. And the end, I just can't get over that end. It made me cry.
I'm about 2/3 of the way through this book. I tried reading it earlier this summer but couldn't get into it. The first 100 pages are so confusing. But I love how things are starting to fit together. And I love how the moments with Jonah and Taylor. I think I'm going to re-read the book as soon as I'm done so I can understand it.
It reminds me in a way of John Marsden's Letters From The Inside. Partly because Marsden is the only other contemp Aussie author I've read and partly because both books are disturbing. I read Letters From The Inside when I was 13. The ending surprised and upset me so much that I've never been able to read another one of his books. This is actually a compliment to him, in an odd way. The book was so powerful that I remember it long after I read it.
