BBAW - Future Treasures

Last meme for BBAW 2010...

We’ve been visiting each other and getting to know each other better…now is your chance to share what you enjoyed about BBAW and also what your blogging goals are for the next year!

My favourite aspect of BBAW is always finding new bloggers, unfamiliar authors and titles that I must check out immediately! BBAW allows people and books to have their moment in the sun and I adore it.  I love being a recipient of someone else's share and also being the one to bring a book into the consciousness of others.

My blogging goals:
  • Experiment with writing my own synopsis for the books I review.
  • Comment, comment, comment
  • Survey readers to re-define PSnark from an objective perspective.
  • Stop changing template - leave the html ALONE!
  • Make some changes to next year's Top 100 YA Titles poll to make it run smoother and have a broader, more diverse voting base.
  • Write more discussion posts and have them published on a schedule eg Discussion Thursday or Ranting Tuesday...  (If you have something you'd like to me write about suggest it in the comments section.)
  • Limit twitter links to blog post to one per 24 hours (2-3 days at most)
  • Move away from writing for myself and write more for an audience.
  • Place more emphasis on Australian YA

Sensible and smart goals, Adel. Makes me think about putting up a list of goals for my own blog.

I think it is superb that you're going to emphasis more on Australian YA. I wish I could have focused more on YA in my own language, Norwegian, but since I'm blogging in English and almost nothing gets translated that is a bit difficult(when the readers cannot have the book I'm bloggin about).

I especially like this one "Write more discussion posts and have them published on a schedule eg Discussion Thursday or Ranting Tuesday..." Looking forward to those as I always love your observations

That's an excellent list (mine was rather broad). I haven't changed my template in awhile and I'm getting the urge to change it again. :(

Nice list of goals! Mine aren't quite so definite but I like how you've laid them out. I'm also toying with writing specific posts for specific days--especially as I blog about more than just books.

Best wishes!

I actually like when people tweet their links more than once every 24 hours because we aren't all in the same time zone and we aren't all on twitter at the same time.

That stated, I'm excited to see your ranting thursdays!

April - that point was more to keep me in check. I hate getting repetitive tweets every 10 mins. But I was getting closer to doing that, posting every hour or two. Didn't want to piss my followers off :)

fabulous goals! I wish you luck with all of them, and I will look forward to reading more about Australian YA fiction!

LOL I was just going to say, OOh! New look! You have some really great goals and I know you can accomplish them. I love Persnickety Snark. More Australian YA is always appreciated!

Oh, I hate those tweets! I don't mind when links are tweeted at different points of the day, but every 10 mins, ugh, please just stop.

I love those goals, especially writing your own synopsis and the twitter-linking one!

Please consider this comment your invitation to finish up your BBAW week by adding a link to any reviews you've managed to post this week to the Saturday Review of Books at Semicolon this Saturday. Every week book bloggers from all over the blogosphere post links to their reviews and other bloggers and readers check out the reviews and find even more books to add to their wishlists.

Thanks for blogging and reading and sharing.

Just found you and I feel pretty snarky about it! Ha! Your goals are excellent. I may copy a few. Always learning and improving. Also, I look forward to hearing more about Australian YA. Good Luck!

Writing my own synopsis for the book is actually one of the parts of writing my reviews I enjoy the most! It's lots of fun to try to make it hook in the reader without giving away too much...
