Beastly Teaser Trailer

First glimpse of Alex Flinn's Beastly as a film adaptation. I have reviewed the book and provided my thoughts on the casting but this teaser doesn't fill me with hope. That being said the casting of Neil Patrick Harris is mind blowingly awesome but is unfortunately cancelled out by Vanessa Anne Hudgens and one of the Olsen drones also being cast.

Alex Pettyfer sure is pretty though...when in distinctly non-hairy, non-beastly, more-Terminator make up. The line "this is my story" sounded ridiculously cliched and worse, like the poor boy was chewing through the dialogue to give it meaning while landing somewhere in the region of a generic American accent.

Also...why is he standing above the city like he's a character from a Marvel comic? He's not a superhero, just a rich boy who pissed off a witch. Sigh.

Thoughts?

I loved the book and am excited for the movie-especially since Alex has said the script is good and she thought it remained true to the book. The casting isn't the greatest, but I'm hoping for the best. I love NPH though!

I'm really excited about the movie cos this book seems really interesting but when I saw Vanessa as the lead female I'm not sure I want to see it anymore.

Ok trailer I think.

Grrr, it looks like they're turning it into crap. I-forget-his-name's "curse" wouldn't be so much of one if he could stand above the city like that. Girls would just think he's awesome instead of frightening.

Low expectations for this one....
