Sarah, Vania and I were speaking about how many books we carry on us at one time. I thought it would be cool to show what I have on me right now (of course I stacked them better). Sort of a twist on the bookcase photo postings.
The Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins) - need to plan a unit on it for my English class
Locket of Dreams(Belinda Murrell) - just received it to review
The Good Daughter(Amra Pajalic) - been waiting for this Aussie novel for awhile, very excited.
Just Listen (Sarah Dessen) - I always have a SD book on me due to The Sarah Dessen Diarist, Just Listen is my fave and the book of the moment.
The Enemy (Charlie Higson) - the Penguin girls have been prodding me on this one, they love it.
My Extraordinary Life and Death (Doug MacLeod) - just received to review
13 Blue Envelopes (Maureen Johnson) - complete with postcard bookmark, it's my book of the moment.
What do you have? Why do you have it? Who carries the most (threatening the well being of their spine)?

OOH! nice. hunger games is the bomb diggity
That's a whole lot of books. Why carry so many at one time?
I just have my current read with me. If these are considered books: I carry a small sketch pad, and an appointment book (for business).
WOW! I carry one unless I will finish the book that day and need a second to start. And on Thursday I usually have a few more stuffed in my bag from the library sale! And several times a whole extra bag!
That's a lot. I cannot carry books around because I'm always afraid they will be crumpled. And I have a question, do they sell Sarah Dessen books over there in Australia? For example This Lullaby? I saw you got an UK version of Just Listen, so beauitiful!
Ooh, nice books - I covet thy books.
As for my bag - admittedly it is a Readings paper bag and I only just got back from a splurge in there - it contains: 'Ten Things I Hate About Me' / Randa Abdel-Fattah, 'How To Ditch Your Fairy' / Justine Larbalestier, 'Suite Scarlett' / Maureen Johnson, 'Broken Soup' / Jenny Valentine, and 'The Truth About Forever' / Sarah Dessen. Now all I need is a whole lot of peace and quiet...fat chance!
I only carry one at a time. Unless I'm taking a bag out of town for a few days or more.
I don't usually carry any around with me. If I'm out, I'll probably be too busy to read and anyway, that could potentially DAMAGE my poor books :)
And also, so jealous of your students. I wish my English teachers had assigned us books like THG!
Wow, you carry a LOT of books on you! I'm very impressed that you're doing something THG related with your class, I wish we could have done cool stuff like that.
As for me... I never take my books anywhere, for fear that they might get creased or nicked. They have to remain perfect! (I'm a bit strange, I'll admit).
