The Snarktress' Wish List

Updated as of 5th June, 2009

I haven't compiled a wish list for this blog before. Having found some issues with getting American published works, I thought I would put my list out there on the internet and see if the Book Gods would be my friend.

The Sweetheart of Prosper County by Jill Alexander
Girl in the Arena /Lisa Haines
Two-way Street / Lauren Barnholdt
The Lost Summer / Kathryn Williams
Hush, Hush / Becca Fitzpatrick
Soulless / Gail Carriger
Willow / Julia Hoban
The Comeback Season / Jennifer E Smith
Hate List / Jennifer Brown
20 Boy Summer / Sarah Ockler
Something, Maybe / Elizabeth Scott
Wintergirls / Laurie Halse Anderson
A Map of the Known World / Lisa Ann Sandell
A Match Made In High School / Kristin Walker
Tempo Change / Barbara Hall
Front and Centre / Catherine Gilbert Murdock
After / Amy Efaw

Even if this turns out to be a huge fail, at least I have a list of the books I want. I usually forget.

Thanks for including my book on your list--and congrats on the wedding thing with Ben. ;) DO invite me!

I just need to point out that Snarktress is pretty much the best word ever!

hahah and why are you marrying Ben? I would like to know this, and yes, Tina is right...I want to be invited. lol

Speaking of which, I just finished reading Sophomore Undercover (ARC version) but I can send it if you like....? Might take a little bit, so who knows?, you could get it before then, but let me know!

Karen - you are the most divine of all those in Queen's country.

Lenore - great minds...chicky!

H - Where do you hail from? Can't-get-a-book-otopia?

Keri - Thanks ;) Does that mean I can be a great YA writer as I write great lists? That's a prerequisite right?

Tina - I have been drooling over your book, entering every competition and failing each competition in the epic struggle to get my hands on it. You don't happen to have an Australian distribution deal yet? Do you? (Hopeful, dewy gaze.)

Alea - Why thank you. I am considering refering to myself in third person as The Snarktree in all conversations and posts from now on.

Lauren - Ben and I are betrothed against all laws of space, time and his knowledge. I even wrote him an awful poem. I might take you up on that but I would send something back of course.

Lauren / Tina - Marriage invites are in the mail, barring a Lost aeroplane crash, expect them sometime never.

LOL do it! And you would be proud, I started and finished a book today! Go me!

Alea said...

Er, and I meant, the same book...

Yay for invites, and I saw your poem for Ben. It was quite lovely. :-)

And don't worry about sending anything back...I don't mind. I'll let you know when I can mail it and if you still don't have a copy, then off it shall go.

Alea -Yay! I did six in six days and then my mind fractured so I didn't make my target. Oh well.

Lauren - We'll see if my poem wrangles a couple lol. I actually did it as a joke but it could result in a copy. Thanks!

Dang girl! I have problems remembering what I read as it is, I think I'd pass out if I had that much in my brain so close together :P

I'm totally compiling my own list as we speak. I'm not above blatant begging. My book sickness knows no bounds. Great list by the way!!

I've got a couple of those. AGATB, An Abundance of Catherine's (it's in the reading pile though) and Saving Zoe. :)

I've been trying to get my hands on heaps of those books.

LOL if I wrote out my wishlist it would probably look identical to yours. Except I've read the Libba Bray and Simmone Howell :)

Not quite can't-get-a-book-otopia. Just the UK =) It's probably harder for you being further away, but it still takes ages to ship. Amazon is my lifesaver lol.

The Hunger Games has released here though. Get a copy as soon as you can!!!
